another day of the scooter

I just got a lambretta uno 150! It's a really sweet scooter. I know
that a lot of scooter snobs will turn their noses down on it because
it's not a "true" lambretta. It's made in taiwan and not Italy. But
really how much power do you have when you are a "scooter snob" I
mean really. It's like being president of the D&D club. I wanted to
get a motorcycle but it just doesn't get the mpg that I want. My
scooter gets 85 mpg, and it's really fast.

It's Hot

Wow. It's really hot here in Santee. We just got back from the most amazing vacation in Big Bear where the weather was perfect and now we have to deal with this. So much so that we started the insulating project that we have going on out in the patio. There's nothing like put up insulation in 100 degree heat. Fun

I don't know why I actually do this job. It's thankless.

The truth is I don't want thanks I just want to be respected. I have
kids at home and I don't need people at work to act like babies. My
kids at least respect me. Probably because when they act out I
punish them and at work I can't "really" punish them.

When people have real problems I respond and when people act like
babies... well I still respond I just make sure they are acting like
babies.

Sleep!!!! and Drama

Luke slept like 6 hours last night. I don't know how long it's been
to have that long of a stretch uninterrupted.

I have to keep reminding myself that you don't have to like your job
to be good at it.

Another boy!

Luke Alexander is a wonderful new addition to our family. He was born on September 17, at 8:49am in the morning. He 6lbs-13oz.
